Vadodara: With testing within 24 hours ended on Saturday night hit the lowest in the last five days, the number of Covid-19 cases saw a decline in the city of Vadodara and the district compared to the case registered on Friday.
One more Covid-19 death was confirmed to take the victim to 624.
The city and the district reported 1,264 cases on Friday against 1,047 on Thursday.
On Saturday, 1,211 new cases were reported.
While 11,229 samples were tested in 24 hours ended on Friday night, 9,613 samples were tested in the same period on Saturday night.
Officials said that lower testing could be caused by the celebration of Uttarayan.
Data in the coming days will reveal a real picture.
The number of active cases in the city and district is now standing at 5,462.
From 179 it was hospitalized.
Patients who are hospitalized include six on a ventilator or bipap machine, while 25 others are in the ICU without ventilators.
Sixty other people need oxygen therapy.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) confirms one death again after June 18.
Toll in 624.
However, this is not included in the person who died of comorbidity or other reasons during Covid-19 treatment.
