Colombo: Data analyst Sri Lanka Team GT Niroshan has tested positive Covid-19 ahead of a series of limited overs against India, the country’s cricket council said on Friday, the day after the coach hit the grant flower contracted by a virus.
Niroshan is currently being treated in accordance with the medical protocol.
“National team data analyst Sri Lanka, G.T.
Niroshan, has been tested positively Covid 19,” said Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) in a statement.
“He was found positively, after the PCR test conducted among the national players, coaches, and supporting staff yesterday, following the identification of grant interest as a positive covid.” Niroshan is now undergoing a medical protocol.
“On Thursday, Sri Flower Batting Lanka coach was tested positive for Covid-19, 48 hours after arrival of troops from England and less than a week before the house series against India.
All other players who quarantine had also been tested.
Before testing the negative squad, Sri Lanka.
