Prayagraj: Setting up other historical milestones against Covid-19 in Sangam City, the number of Jabs managed in the district passes the 25 lakh mark on Friday.
Data from the Ministry of Health has revealed that more than 25.20 lakh jab has been given to 14 male lakh and 11 recipients of lakh women in the district so far.
In addition, more than seven lakh jab was given to beneficiaries in just 24 days in September.
On September 23, 46,651 doses were given to the recipient of all age groups, including 39,267 first doses and 73267 second-dose receivers.
Statistics also revealed that as many as 11,504 Jab was given to the recipient in January, 51,575 in February, 1,17,625 in March, 1,86,853 in April, 2.21,808 in May, 2.74,825 in July, 5,84,496 on July August and 6,39,540 to September 22.
Of the 25.20 lakh doses, 14 doses of lakh were given to men recipients, 11 lakh for women recipients, and 1,073 for transgender people.
The district health authority has set the JABS target to 46.10 Lakh beneficiaries, and until September 24, has crossed a sign of 25 lakh.
District immunization officers (DIO) and additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Dr.
Teerath Lal on Thursday told Tii, “Sincere efforts are being carried out to cover the recipients of all age groups living in villages, blocks and urban areas.
In addition, camp -Kamp specifically held in several places in the city to cover the maximum number of people.
“He added that five special camps had been held, including two in August and three in September.
This has helped the department covering more than 25 beneficiaries of the lakh.
Dr.
Lal said that the response was better than expected, and around 20 Lakh recipients had given at least one dose of each of them so far.
The department has been, in fact, increasing the number of Covid-19 vaccination sites (CVC) with each month passed, and September witnessed the highest number of sites (400).
These steps were taken to expand the reach of the health team, especially in remote villages.
Around 52% of targeted recipients have been given JAB and around 11% are fully vaccinated now.
