Prasagraj: The session court has sentenced 41 people found involved in trading meat and human trafficking, which at one time occurred in Meergaj, a brothel located in the Prayagraj District, Uttar Pradesh.
Additional Judge Session (ASJ), who passed the order of confidence, would say punishment to the defendant on January 25.
ASJ punishes them on the basis of the facts and evidence accused.
Allegedly that the people accused of this, while taking advantage of poverty and compulsion of other girls, which are used to persuade them from their original places.
After that, they used to sell it in the Meerganj red light area, where they were finally forced to join the meat trade.
Some social organizations and activists have filed a litigation of public interests (pills) before the High Court, which directed the authorities concerned to take the right steps to eliminate illegal meat trade and human trafficking in the heart of the city.
Acting in the direction of the High Court, the police launched a large ‘Operation Freedom’ on Labor Day on May 1, 2016 to clean the Meerganj area.
As a result, some girls, many of them are minors, saved from a brothel.
During the operation, 48 people were arrested and a criminal case was registered against them.
After the trial, the court in his decision on January 18 was sentenced to 41 people accused.
