Prasagraj: The police have launched an investigation into stealing 35 covid vaccine bottles and holding three people for quizzes in Utrav and Handia Ares in the Trans-Ganga bag from the Prasagraj district on Saturday.
A total of 35 bottles of covid vaccines, including 24 bottles on the village village vaccination site in Block Development Dhanupur and 11 bottles at the location of Dalipur Village Vaccination in the Saibadbad development block, stolen during the mega vaccination drive each on Friday night.
Following the incident, the health authority filed a separate fire at the police station concerned and soared inquiry.
The main chairman of the District Immunization Medical and Officer (DIO) Dr.
Teuth Lal told Ti that a group of unknown people on Friday Werer allegedly created a commotion during the vaccination drive.
They pressurized on health staff to make them vaccinated priority.
This unknown person takes 24 bottles from Karv Elementary School (vaccination site).
They also exchanged the arguments that were heated with Sha and ANM health workers on duty.
Health workers have deposited the Aadhar card and PAN card from recipients who are eligible for their registration in front of vaccination.
However, during the heavy rush at the location on Friday night, a group of recipients illuminated the vaccination room and steal a bottle.
In Dalipur Village, the Development Block of Saidabad, an unknown man allegedly entered the vaccination center and fled with 11 bottles.
The guard was in charge of making efforts to fail to pursue him.
Two of the 11 bottles were broken when the man escaped.
The UTRV police said that they had searched for nine stolen bottles while the other two were damaged.
Inspector General of Police (Range of Prayagraj) KP Singh said that the police team had received instructions on the incident and cases would be resolved soon.
He added that some people had been picked up for the quiz.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health officials, claimed to have given a vaccine dose to 78,072 receivers during mega vaccination drives held on Friday.
