Hubballi: Because Covid’s situation slowly changed worrying in the Dharwad district with a level of participants reaching 7.53% on Monday, the district government has decided to intensify the steps to curb viruses.
The level of participation is only below 1% at the beginning of the year, but crosses 5% which is worrying in a 10-day range.
Many people still have not followed the Covid protocol in twin cities that have encouraged the authorities to increase their steps such as imposing fines to people who do not wear masks, and do not maintain social distance.
On January 4, the level of participants was 1% in the district, which rose 0.98% on January 6, 1.27% on January 7, and, on January 10, 7.53%.
District administration has directed the Ministry of Health, Police and HDMC to implement the Covid protocol strictly and take all the steps needed to curb viruses and spread covid.

“We currently focus on schools and colleges where gradually Covid cases increase,” he added.
Suresh Itnal, Commissioner, HDMC, said, “We have denounced health inspectors, collectors of bills and other officials to create public awareness about the importance of wearing masks, maintaining distance and social hygiene.
