Prayagraj: Covid Vaccination site throughout the city and rural areas on Thursday watched the recipient’s rush that qualified to get Jab.
Vaccination exercise continued after a 48-hour gap in 44 vaccination sites and the recipient was seen standing in a long queue and waiting for their turn.
8,683 doses were given on Thursday which included 4,144 first doses and 4,539 doses of both vaccines.
Ironically, the lack of vaccines has suspended a cluster plan in Sangam City which should begin on Thursday.
However, the Ministry of Health officials said vaccination exercises were taken in all 24 city-based vaccination sites and 20 public health centers (CHCS) in rural areas on Thursday.
District immunization (DIO) and additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO), Dr.
Teuth Lal told the Toi that the vaccination process was continued after the shares were received from state capital.
He added that Jab was given to the recipient who qualified at 44 sites on Thursday.
Dr.
Lal, however, said the cluster plan will be launched in the district so there will be stock and the availability of adequate vaccines.
On Thursday, the recipient arrived at the rural and semi-based vaccination center had to wait for hours to get Jab.
A senior health official, meanwhile, said there was a plan to launch drive vaccination in the city after the first week of the 80 city wards according to the availability of vaccines.
He further added that vaccination under the cluster plan will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday while there will be routine immunization on Wednesday and Saturday.
The official also informed that all 80 city wards had been divided into 16 clusters and as many as 10 teams would cover at least five wards in a day.
The cluster plan for rural areas will soon be resolved.
