Bagalkot: Farmers who have been flooded in the village of Chichakhandi Gheroo, the Central Study Team, who visited flood-affected areas to assess damage on Monday.

When a team consisting of Guruprasad, Superintending Engineer Ministry of Jal Shakti, and Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Union, arrived in Chichakhandi, a group of farmers want to submit The petition on “non-receipt of compensation”.
But Bagalkot DC K Rajendra intervened and said central officials could not understand Kannada.
“They are here to see the quantum loss, and do not receive any complaints,” he added.
With DC words, farmers said they had not received compensation even the same as what officials spent from Delhi.
“We suffer losses for three consecutive years now.
We need compensation to get out of the financial crisis,” they said.
