Vadodara: Despite the joint efforts by Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) for the past week, the streets of the city have not been released from the threat of livestock.
The Top Brass VMC and City Police met again on Friday, even though it was the Dussehra vacation, to discuss this issue.
After the announcement by the chairman of the Minister of Bhupendra Patel and Head of BJP Country C R Paatil, the Civic body has swung into the action against wild livestock.
Police, selected representatives and members of the BJP City Unit also associated on the way to free city streets but were unsuccessful.
VMC has increased the number of teams operating in the city to confiscate livestock and have also started a big boost to install RFID tags in bovine animals.
However, some livestock owners have not received their livestock.
Also, there are some other people who leave their livestock on the streets even though VMC issues a warning from strict action.
City police officials will now contact livestock owners in their jurisdiction.
Livestock owners will be given strict instructions that they have to mark their livestock and make sure it roams on the streets.
