Hobart: The Australian Pacer Mitchell Starc is considering returning to the IPL after a long hiatus despite a busy schedule that includes the continental and defense of the T20 World Cup title at home later this year.
Starc, the last playing at the IPL in 2015, said he had not made a decision but put his name for the Mega League auction, the nomination was closed on Friday, “Of course on the table.” Starc won a contract worth Rs 9.4 Crore with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 but had to be released due to injury.
Mega-Auction ahead of the upcoming season is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru.
“I have two days to get my documents, so there might be something to do today before training,” Starc said quoted by Cricket.com.au.
“I haven’t subjected my name, but I have a few more days to decide it.
It must be on the table regardless of what the schedule has appeared,” he added.
Even though it became one of the most valuable T20 Bowler, Pacer left arm has performed in just two IPL seasons because of injury management and workload.
In the 27 matches he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014 and 2015, STARC dismissed 34 goals at the economic level of 7.16 and an impressive level of attack 17.
However, the workload will once again become a key factor as 31 years.
Old take a call.
As a multi-format player, STARC must juggle a packed schedule.
After the fifth gray test, Australia has a three-match ODI series and one T20i at home against New Zealand.
The T20i series of five matches against Sri Lanka is scheduled for next month followed by a full series consisting of three tests as much as possible ODIS and T20i in Pakistan, starting in March.
“I have never been for six years or more,” Starc said “clearly with heavy weight towards the T20 for the last time and the World Cup came later this year, that’s all,” he was also added.
While the IPL, which has grown to 10 teams this year, is expected to begin in April and go in June.
Australia is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for tests and series overs limited in June and July.
“There is a little happening with scheduling and nothing to circle, of course for multi-format players.” Schedule is quite congestion when you throw all the tours, we have some white.
-Ball Series posted ash before the Pakistan tour, then you consider IPL and tour Sri Lanka after that.
“So it’s a six-month big cricket for everyone,” Starc said.
