The British Paceman Tymal Mills has been ruled out from the Twenty20 World Cup because of the tension of the right thigh, with the backup of Reece Topley set to replace it in the squad, the State Cricket Council (ECB) said in a statement on Wednesday.
Mills sustained injuries when bowling in the Super 12 victory managed in England over Sri Lanka on Monday in Sharjah, with scanning on Tuesday revealed the full nature of the problem.
The 29-year-old has taken seven goal from four matches in the tournament and England, the possibility of losing his skills and experience at the last match overs.
England is the top of Group I with four wins from as many matches as possible and ride South Africa on Saturday.
