Dubai: Victor Chirwa Zimbabwe has been suspended from bowling in international cricket with direct effects after the ICC U-19 World Cup event panel confirmed that he used illegal actions.
The event panel consists of ICC panel members of the human movement specialist.
Chirwa was reported by officials during the Zimbabwe match against Papua New Guinea on Saturday.
The video recording of her bowling in the event was shared with the event panel to be reviewed.
The event panel concluded that Chirwa used illegal bowling actions and, thus, in accordance with Article 6.7 regulations, he was immediately suspended from bowling in international cricket, the ICC in the media release.
