Mumbai: Head of Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday slams his former Ally, Bharatiya Janata (BJP), for some problems including controversy over the comments of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Freedom Fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
BJP Doesn’t Understand Veer Savarkar or Mahatma Gandhi, said Thackeray, talking on his party’s annual Dussehra Rally Shiv Sena at Shanmukhanand Hall here.
Singh recently triggered one line by claiming that Gandhi suggested Savarkar, who was imprisoned in Andaman’s cellular prison, to write a compassion of compassion to England.
Thackeray, in his speech also mocked BJP to lower former Sena Mla in approaching the assembly of Deglur by elections in Maharashtra.
“The biggest political party in the world” must import candidates even for Bypoll assembly, he said.
He also slams BJP for calling Sena Corrupt after the two-party alliance ended in 2019, and doodled to bring down the Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government who will finish two years next month.
