US to host Ireland in the Cricket Landmark series

Dublin: Ireland next month will be the first test country to play against the United States in American land, Head of Cricket announced on Tuesday.
The team will play two twenty matches and three international ones from December 22, with all the equipment that took place at the Central Broward Stadium in Florida.
IAIN Higgins, USA Cricket CEO, said the organization was “truly happy” to confirm the series.
“This announcement sends a signal to the international cricket community that Cricket in the US moves in a very positive direction and that we have aspirations to compete with the best team in the world regularly at home,” he said.
“The Irish cricket trip for full membership from the International Cricket Board (test status) is something we have learned and we hope to replicate in 2030.” Ireland obtained a test status in 2017.
Cricket Ireland Chief Executive Warren Deutrom said: “With a large population of Irish expatriates and immigrants in the United States, we hope to see a good replacement of support for our team.” As part of the agreement, Ireland will host the US tour in the next three years.
After their US tour, Ireland will travel to West Indies for the World Cup Super League match, with a date that will be announced soon.
