Prasagraj: Dussehra, craftsmen who carry out various characters in Ramlila in the Patchatti Ramlila committee will conduct various episodes of epic using various forms of dance.
While Ravan Darbar and Sugreev Darbar will be served using Bharatnatyam, Mohinyattam and Oditsi, the Vivah RAM episode will be presented in the folk dance.
In addition, an episode of RAM Van Gaman will be presented in the form of a tribal dance while a Rajyabhishek episode will be presented in Awadhi dance.
After completing a rigorous dance training on Friday, as many as 18 artists including 10 women and eight men were ready to show their acting talent and dance at Patchatti Ramlila Ground.
The Ramlila Committee Patharchatti Ramlila will begin on October 7 and conclude on October 15.
Director of Tari, Purnima Kumar told Toi: “This year, artists who carry out various characters will conduct various episodes from Ramlila and present them to audiences through forms of forms such as Bharatatyam, Mohiniyattam, Oditsi, folk dance, tribal dance and in Awadhi style too.” He Adding that artists have been given a tight training month from September 1 to October 1 where they have spent at least five hours every day studying the right shapes and how to combine dances and act into their appearance.
