Prasagraj: The recovery of four cow carcasses on Friday caused tensions in the Malava and the area side by side with the limits of the Tharwai police station in the Trans-Ganga area in the city area.
Hindu vishwa parishad (VHP) and other Hindu frontal organizations rushed to the place and created a commotion.
Secretary General of VHP (Gau Raksha) Lal Mani Tiwari told toi that a group of villagers saw several unidentified people throwing the carcass from a truck when they would swim in Ganga on Friday morning.
He alleged that the locals saw two men, Mumtaz Ali and Asad Ali and the other four threw a carcass of a truck.
When the villagers raised an alarm, the defendant made an effort failed to accelerate after threatening the villagers.
Then, VHP leaders and other Hindu frontal organizations reached the place and demanded higher police to take strict action.
A senior police said that a case beneath 3, 5 and 8 prevention of slaught Cow and 504 laws and 506 IPC had been registered at the Tharwai police station against three people, including Asad Ali, Mumtaz Ali, regarding the incident.
