Vadodara rises to 8th place

Vadodara: Vadodara City increases its ranking at Selfch Survekshan and ranks 8 this time.
It was ranked 10th in the last edition of the survey.
Vadodara has done well ranked until 2017.
It was ranked third in 2016 and 10 in 2017.
However, the city ranking began to deteriorate after this.
Rated in 2018, it was ranked 44th and slipped further in 2019 when it was ranked 79.
However, the trend was reversed by 2020 when the city increased its ranking significantly and finished in 10th place.
Officials said that rankings in 2018 and 2019 were affected for technical reasons and problems with documentation.
Among the four largest cities in the state, Vadodara is the only one that increases its ranking.
Letters and Rajkot remain in second and 11th place while Ahmedabad slipped to rank 10 from the 7th place.
Mayor Keyur Rokadiya said that in addition to the increase in rankings, this city has been ranked three star for an effort towards a garbage-free city.
He added that a series of initiatives had been taken in this direction.
