West Indies have chosen an open appetizer Jeremy Solozano for their two-test series in Sri Lanka while also including all Jason and Roston Chase holders who are currently in the United Arab Emirates at the Twenty20 World Cup.
However, there is no place to Paceman Alzarri Joseph in a 15-man squad that will be led by Kraigg Brathwaite when the series starts later this month.
“Jeremy played for the West Indies team in 2019 (against India ‘A’) successfully and in the best V (domestic) match he showed a sense of application, patience, and tranquility, while looking very comfortable against both speed and round,” said the voter Main Roger Harper.
“The troops are balanced, with a good depth in all departments.
This composition is very similar to the squad that brings us successfully on our last away tour to Bangladesh, with some personnel changes,” Harper added.
Both tests will be played in Galle, with the first match scheduled from November 21-25.
Forces: Kraigg Brathwaite (captain), Jermaine Blackwood, Nkrumah Bonner, Roston Chase, Rahkeem Cornwall, Shannon Gabriel, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Kyle Mayers, Veerasammy Permaul, Yesterday Roach, Jomel Warrican, Jeremy Warrican
