Kingston: Ireland All-Rounders Paul Stirling and Shane Getkate have been tested negatively for Covid-19 and will join the squad in Jamaica.
Ireland and West Indies locked horns in the ODI series.
Stirling and getkate have been tested positive for Covid-19 months ago Towards the Windies Series and is in Quarantine 10 days mandatory in Florida.
“Paul Stirling and Shane Getkate: The couple must isolate in Florida after testing positive Covid.
They traveled to Jamaica today after testing negative yesterday,” said Cricket Ireland in a statement.
Ireland Cricketers Simi Singh and Ben White were ruled out from the first ODI against West Indies on Saturday after testing positive Covid-19.
Both players are still waiting for their RT-PCR test results after delaying services.
“Simi Singh and Ben White: While the team’s medical staff is still waiting for their PCR test results after delaying services, the possibility of the two players will come out of the entire series after the antigen test on Friday night back with the positive results of Covid,” the next statement was read.
Meanwhile, in Odi Shamarh Brooks first and Kieron Pollard starred in bats when West Indies beat Ireland with 24 walks here at Sabina Park on Sunday.
Both parties will meet in the second and third ODI on 11 and 14 January each.
