Prasagraj: A total of 671 people have died in 1,184 accidents on the road between January 1 and June 15 this year in the four regencies of Prayagraj Kisaran.
Identifying accelerating and violating traffic norms as the main reason behind the accident, the police have decided to launch a series of road safety steps.
Ironically, the city of Sangam once again adds a graph of road accidents in the case of the fatal and non-fatal category.
It recorded 527 cases of road accidents between January 1 and June 15, followed by Fatehpur (278), Pratapgarh (218) and Kaushambi (161).
The statistics expressed by the Range Prayagraj police on Thursday claimed that a total of 671 people, including 249 in Pratagraj, 136 in Fatehpur and 95 in Kaushambi, lost their lives between January 1 and June 15.
In the same period, 689 people were also injured in Prayagraj (334), Pratapgarh (124), Fatehpur (153) and Kaushambi (78).
In the Prayagraj District, a total of 527 cases of road accidents were recorded between January 1 and June 15, including January (101), February (95), March (112), April (73) and June (52) and June (52)).
In addition, while January recorded 49 deaths in Prayagraj, other months such as February, March, April, May and June each recorded death 45, 45, 49 and 21.
In Kaushambi Regency, a total of 161 road accident cases were recorded between 1 January and June 15 including January (23), February (26), March (37), April (38) and June (12).

In the Pratapgarh district, a total of 218 cases of road accidents were recorded including January (45), February (36), March (31), April (34), May (44) and June (28).
While January recorded 26 deaths, 21, 19, 25, 30 and 15 people lost their lives in February, March, May and June each.
In the district of Fatehpur, a total of 278 road accident cases were recorded between January 1 and June 15 including January (48), February (29), March (60), April (59) and June (35).
While January claimed 35 lives, other months such as February, March, April, May and June each claimed 25, 36.25.46 and 24, respectively.
IG (Range of Prayagraj) KP Singh said, “The police have been directed to launch a series of road safety steps to minimize cases of road accidents in the four Kisaran Regency.
There is also a need to spread awareness about road safety measures among people.” “Traffic police from the four districts have also been instructed to wear concrete road safety programs to examine fatal and non-fatal cases.
Ignorance of traffic norms and violations of the speed limit are the two main factors behind the increasing number of road accidents at each Regency, “he said.
