Prasagraj: Women’s recipients continued to exceed the number of men in receiving the Covid-19 vaccine in the city of Sangam.
Of the 7.71,522 doses given between 1 and December 28, 4,04,662 women and 3,66,326 men and 334 transgender were given a shot.
The figures from the Ministry of Health revealed that from 53.19.121 doses provided so far in the district, 27,36,793 men, 25,80,032 women and 2,296 transgender are covered under drive vaccination.
The statistics revealed by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday claimed that women recipients continued to maintain their superiority in vaccination in the fourth month of this year, after more recipients of all age groups marched to get JAB in vaccination centers in rural and urban areas against Covid 19.
The Ministry of Health officials said that after registering the lead in September, October and November, the women’s recipients continued to lead in December as well.
The recording claimed that in November, from 9,52,528 jab given to the recipient who qualified, as many as 5,00,968 women received Jab, while the number of men’s recipients was 4.51,214.
Similarly, of the total 8.41,889 doses given in October, 4,40,094 doses were given to women, while 4.01,428 doses were received by men.
In addition, in September, of a total of 9,39,300 doses given to the recipient who qualified, as many as 4,78,740 women and 4,60,002 men were vaccinated.
The main chairman of the District Immunization (DIO) medical officer (DIO) Dr.
Tirath Lal told TI that women recipients arrived in large quantities in vaccination centers and took Jab.
He added that the increase in conscious campaigns and active women’s participation had produced the desired results for the Ministry of Health to reach the target.
He also added that more beneficiaries of women inoculated for the fourth week of this month.
Dio said that the vaccination team focused on administration of second jab to recipients who qualify from all age groups at the time scheduled and for this, health workers are working on the strategy to cover the maximum number of recipients who meet the requirements under a fully vaccinated category.
The District Health Authority has set a target to provide a dose to as many as 45.16,437 receivers of all age groups.
