Women have a natural tendency to give justice, said President of Ram Nath Kovind

Prayagraj: President of RAM Nath Kovind on Saturday emphasized the need for empowering women in justice and hoping that more women will be given a representation in the Allahabad High Court.
While putting the foundation stone of the National Law University in Prayagraj, a new building complex in Allahabad High Court and Chambers Advocates, the President said that the increase in women’s participation in the justice system would achieve our constitution’s inclusive ideals.
The President said that women have a natural tendency to provide justice and have the capacity to provide justice for all.
“Therefore, society full of justice will be determined only when the role of women in the justice system is increasing,” he said, adding that the current representation of women in the judiciary is less than 12%, therefore, it should be increased.
Giving an example of the Supreme Court, he said that for the first time in history, there were four female judges from 33 in the APEX court.
He also said that efforts must be made to make the justice system cheaper.
“Everyone has the hope of justice, however, people are hesitant in taking court assistance.
This situation needs to be changed to increase the trust of the people in the judiciary,” he said while handling functions in the campus high court here on Saturday.
The President praised the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to strengthen the rule of law in the state.
He said that it must be our responsibility that everyone becomes justice in time and decisions must be in the language understood by ordinary people.
“It will be possible only when all stakeholders associated with the justice system carry the changes needed in the thought and culture, and become sensitive,” he added.
He said that the world-class education system must be adopted at the National Law University, which will be established in Prayagraj, adding that good legal education is needed to strengthen legal supremacy.
Kiren Rijiju Union Law Minister stressed the need for arbitration and mediation, adding that the bill on mediation will be introduced in the upcoming parliamentary session.
He also said that he wanted India to be a ‘international arbitration’ destination, so that the whole world would see our justice system.
He said that the government’s efforts were reducing the gap between ordinary humans and justice so that justice was given earlier, adding that the Indian government worked closely in this direction.
