Kalaburagi: A 38-year-old woman has a narrow escape after a bullet scoring her shoulders in Kadaganchi Village in Aland Taluk in Kalaburagi Regency on Tuesday.
Nirmala Satalingappa was shot by Nagaraj Ramchandrappa Vaani.
The two of their families were locked in bitter battles on the road between their farming land.
Nagaraja has a road to his land, running through the land given to Nirmala’s husband under the SC quota.
After alluring the land to Satalingappa, Nagaraj was not allowed to go to his farm, because he had to cross the Satalingappa land to get there.
On Tuesday, while Nagaraja and his brothers, used the road, Nirmala objected to him.
Accused of shooting in the air at first, and then shooting nearby, which caused the bullet to rob his shoulder.
Nirmala fainted and shifted to the hospital.
Satalingappa filed a complaint against Nagaraja and his brothers, Sharishail Ramachandrappa Vaani, Ramachandrappa Vaani and Ashok Laxman Bagashetty under the Law SC & ST (Prevention of cruelty).
Aland Deputy Police Supervisors Malikarjun Saali said that the defendant had a licensed weapon, but had not been registered.
