Sri Lanka on Sunday called 21-year-old Membersy Spinner Maheesh Theekshana for their team for the Twenty20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and Oman in October-November.
Theekshana, who took four goals on his day’s international debut against South Africa last week, joined Praveen Jayawickrama’s left arm spinner, the only player who had not been cheated in the squad, who took 11 Wicket on the test debut against Bangladesh this year.
Wanindu Hasaranga and Dhanjaya de Silva completed the contingent spin bowling, with Akila Dananjaya and Pulina Tharanga leg-spinner among reserves.
