LONDON: The top dough Danni Wyatt returned to the fold when the British women’s team on Saturday announced troops for the five-match ODI series against New Zealand.
Kate Cross and Lauren Winfield-Hill returned to the group, after skipping the T20i series, while Wyatt also returned to the squad, after not being chosen for the Royal London series against India.
“We really look forward to the Royal London series.
This is a great test for us, and five more important ODIs ahead of the ICC World Cup next year,” said Lisa Keightley’s head coach in a statement.
“It’s already a very busy schedule and we have to work hard in all to make sure the players are in the best position to pass it, and maybe that we need to manage the group to do that,” he added.
New Zealand and England will lock horns in the ODI series from September 16.
The hosts beat New Zealand at T20i Series 2-1 on Thursday.
British troops: Heather Knight (C), Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Freya Dean, Charlie Dean, Sophie Dunkley, Sophie Ecclestone, Tash Farrant, Sarah Glenn, Amy Jones, Nat SCiver, Anya Shrubsole.
