Karwar: Dinesh Vasanth Hegde, from Sasiguli Village in Siddapur Taluk, has been awarded a three-year investment in the future in the NASA Earth and Space Science and Technology (Finessst) grant by the American Space Agency, NASA.
Dinesh, a research assistant in the field of space, Alabama University in Huntsville (UAH), was chosen for a $ 1.35 lakh scholarship.
Hegde, a second year doctoral student worked as a postgraduate researcher assistant, department of space science, the center of UAH for space plasma and aeronomic research.
NASA’s grant was to help him continue his research into space weather.
Dinesh Hegde has a humble background.
