Chandigarh: Recognizing the efforts of UT government, the central government has finally revised the adult population target for covid vaccination (first dose).
The Ministry of Health and Welfare of the family has completed the Chandigarh population targeted in the age group of 18 years and above as 8,43,000.
Administration has crossed the first 8.50,000 dose of Covid vaccination for adult populations and reached the target of 100% of the first dose.
UT advisor Dharam Pal said that now with the revised data from the targeted population, Chandigarh is one of the states and union areas that have provided at least one vaccination dose of up to 100% targeted population.

He further stated that the administration would continue because of efforts to deal with all covid related problems.
In July, the government had written a letter to the government to correct the population of vaccination targets for qualified populations.
According to the center, the chandigarh population that qualifies above 18 years, which will be covered for vaccination is 15.75 lakh (15.75,709).
However, the UT government has proposed that according to the latest election list, a total of 7.12,000 people in Chandigarh have the right to take vaccines in the group 18+ category and special groups.
