Bengaluru: The Department of Higher Education will begin 11 more colleges in government universities in the state.
This is in accordance with the budget proposal 2021.
Colleges will be arranged within the boundaries of 11 Kota – Bengaluru, MySuru, Davanagere, Davestavi, Tumakuru, Shivamogga, Dharwad, Vijayapura, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi and Ballari.
In Bengaluru, the RC College of Commerce will host the Evening College.
Universities are targeted at the workers’ population used during the day and want to learn at night.
Universities are expected to increase the gross registration ratio, which is only 32% in Karnataka, the lowest in South India.
Colleges will offer BCOM and BCA to start, which is the most popular course at this time.
Most of them are expected to open start at 5:30 a.m.

“We have 2.3 lakh chairs available for degree programs.
Usually, only 1.3 lakh filled.
One lakh seat is generally empty, which we hope will be used for additional students who are out of PU colleges this year,” said P Pradeep , Commissioner, Collegiate Education Department.
The guest lecturer will be appointed for college evening.
“College can conduct classes in two shifts if there are more requests.
College tonight will help students who want to work in the morning,” he added.
The RC College of Commerce said they had not started the reception process for college nights.
“The command of the Principal’s appointment must come before we begin the process.
Also, publicity is needed so that students become aware of the opportunity and apply,” said a lecturer.
