CHANDIGARH: As many as 111 instances of Mucormycosis, much better called black parasite disease, have now been reported from different parts of Punjab up until Monday. Health minister Balbir Singh Sidhu stated that 25 of those cases were reported at the government medical centers, whereas the rest 86 have already been reported from hospitals. These instances were mostly found at the patients that have recently recovered in Covid-19 or so are immuno-compromised or patients regained from Covid with assistance of steroids or even immuno-modulators, patients with oxygen assistance for extended time or people with diabetes. The minister stated this to deal with this disorder, antifungal medication are needed and their distribution was governed by the central authorities.
