Bengaluru: Karnataka on Monday recorded 1,151 Covid-19 fresh cases, took Caseload to 29.38 lakh, while the 10 deaths pushed toll to 37,155.
That day also saw 1,442 people being repatriated, taking the total recovery amount to 28.82.331.
The active case reached 20,255, said a health department bulletin.
Bengaluru Urban contributed the maximum number of 270 cases, but reported the Nile Fatalities after weeks of the week, he said.
Dakshina Kannada District bordering Kerala remains the main Covid-19 hotspot with 236 fresh infections and three fatalities.
Other districts also reported fresh cases, including Udupi 137, Hassan 115, MySuru 76, Kodaugu 54 Tumakuru 44 and Chikkamagaluru 42.
Bidar, Bagalkote, Dharwad and Raichur reported zero infection and zero.
Twenty-four districts reported zero death, he said.
A total of 1,06,364 samples were tested in the state on Monday, taking total so far up to 4.21 crores.
