GUWAHATI: Just 12 days after a student was brutally murdered in the district of North Assam Dhemariji, a 14-year-old girl suffered a similar fate in Guwahati on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the area Uzanbazar, just a few hundred meters from Latasil Police Station, at 11:30 am.
Victims, Demple Kumawat, stabbed and beaten with a pressure cooker in the absence of his parents.

“Ashok Kumawat and Anjali Kumawat, the parents of the girl, run a restaurant in the area Uzanbazar.
On Wednesday morning, they went to the restaurant they left their daughter and niece at home as usual.
As per the information, the nephew left the house a few hours after his uncle and aunt went to their stall.
“We went to our shop in the morning as usual.
He was at home.
My nephew also at home.
I do not know why he was killed.
He also does not have any friends,” said the girl’s mother.
A neighbor, who went to the room around 11:30 am, found the girl’s body was lying on his bed.
