2.3-magnitude earthquake was reported in Hassan

Bengaluru: An earthquake of 2.3 on the Richter scale was reported in the Hassan district, the officials of the state disaster management authority said on Friday.
The earthquake occurred at 17:32:25 Ist, Epikentred 1.5 km NNE (Northeast North) Rayapura from Sallague Hobli in Hassan Taluk, they said.
“The seismic intensity of the earthquake is presented, where the intensity is observed very low.
This type of earthquake does not cause losses for the local community, although there may be a slight shock observed locally.
People do not need to panic the intensity observed and not destructive, “An official note said.
