Aizawl: Mizoram’s Covid-19 Tally violated 70,000 Mark on Sunday as 1,089 more people, including 245 children, tested positive infections, namely 364 more than the previous day, a health official said.
Korenavirus’s death of the northeastern state of the country rose to 236 because three more people surrendered to infection at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC) near Aizawl.
The daily testing level also rose to 13.98 percent from 10.73 percent on Saturday as 7,791 samples tested, he said.
The Aizwal District enrolled the highest number of cases in 635, followed by collapsia (104) and siaha (78).
Only one patient has a travel history, while 1,088 the remaining infections are detected during contact contacts.
Covid-19 tally stood at 70,840.
Mizoram now has 12,429 active cases, while 58,175 people have recovered from infection so far, including 1,004 on Saturday.
The state has tested more than 9.63 lakh samples until now, and is inoculated more than 6.63 lakh people, among them 2.98 lakh has been fully vaccinated.
