Aizawl: Mizoram’s Covid-19 Tally rose to 1.02.629 on Thursday as more than 1,302 people, including 263 children, positively tested for infection, while six fresh fatalities pushed Koronavirus Koronavirus correction to 341, a health official said.
The state has reported 1,471 cases and four deaths on Wednesday.
The Aizawl district registered the number of highest fresh infections in 728, followed by Lunglei (147) and Champhai (113), said the official, added that one day’s first front level reached 13.35 percent.
Seven people have a history of travel, while 1,295 fresh infections were detected during contact searches, he said, adding that 38 COLASIB district prison inmates were one of the new patients.
Mizoram now has 16,075 active cases, while 86,213 people have recovered from the disease so far, including 1,226 on Wednesday.
The recovery rate reached 84 percent, while the mortality rate was at 0.33 percent.
The state has tested more than 11.49 lakh samples for Covid-19 to date, including 9,749 in the last 24 hours.
State immunization 0fficer Dr.
Lalzawmi said that 6.84 lakh people have been invested so far, including 4.59 lakh has been fully vaccinated.
