Bathinda: Three farmers died while the other two were injured after a mixture hit them near the border Tikri earlier on Thursday morning.
The incident took place near the Bahadurgarh Chowk Pakoda.
The women were waiting for an autorickshaw at around 6 am to reach the Bahadurgarh train station.
“The women returned to Punjab when the vehicle hit them and the driver escaped from the scene,” said Ruldu Singh Mansa, agricultural leader, and President of Punjab Kisan Union.
Female farmers returned to Mansa to complete their protest turn.
The deceased has been identified as Chhinder Kaur (60), Amarjeet Kaur (58), Gurmail Kaur (60) from Kheeva Dyaluwala Village in Mansa Regency.

Injuries have been sent to PGI Rohtak.
Women in large quantities took part in the protest of farmers since protests began on November 26, 2020 on the Delhi border.
Farmers demand agricultural legal and legal revocation with minimum support price guarantees for all farmers in all commodities.
