Guwahati: Three alleged cadres from Young Faction Aung Myanmar from NSCN (K) were killed in a meeting with Assam rifles near the Indian-Myanmar border at the Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh on Monday.
The militants tried to cross the international border along with two people who were kidnapped from a village in Khonsa in the country when the meeting occurred.
“The two kidnapped people have been rescued.
One of them is the village head of Lahu,” said the source.
Three weapons have recovered from a guerrilla killed.
The paramilitary power also beat two cadres from two Manipur rebel groups – PLA and KCP – in operations along with Manipur police from Thouugal and Imphal East on Sunday.
This development has come within 48 hours of stagnant ambush by the Myanmar-based Manipur rebel group in the State Churachandpur District on Saturday, claims the life of seven people, including the Rifles 46 Assam Commander.
