Bengaluru: A three-story building collapsed in Lakkasandra near the busy Garden Wilson area in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Monday.
Fortunately, most of the 50 people who lived in the building went to work, said police, and there were no casualties.
Fire Personnel and emergency services have reached the place for search and rescue operations.
Workers who live there are from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, and work on the Metro project.
Most of them went to work when the building collapsed.
Some of the ones in the building managed to rush out when the building began to vibrate, the eyewitness said.
Uday B Garudachar, BJP Mla local, said that the building was invalid and built will violate the rules.
The police have told that no one was injured or killed in the incident.
“I’ll go to the place.
All workers have gone to work, if it will happen at night, what will be a situation,” he asked.
The locals said that the building was a little inclined for two years but no officials from the Civic body that cared about it.
They ignored our complaints about the condition of the building.
