CHANDIGARH: The UT police detained seven people for gaming and drifting on streets during the nighttime curfew from other areas of the city. The authorities registered four individual instances under the divisions of the Gambling Act, Disaster Management Act and IPC against the accused, that had been released on bond. Sector 34 police detained Yogesh, Manoj Verma, Jaiya Ram and Vikash while gaming by Burail. The cops also recovered Rs 5,650 in the ownership of those accused. The authorities later released them on bail. Sector 26 police detained a individual, who had been drifting through the curfew hoursfrom Sector 27 marketplace. Maulijagran and Sector 36 police detained one individual each while drifting throughout the lockdown period. The accused were later released on bond. The cops have filed a case under applicable parts of the IPC at various police stations.
