Chandigarh: More than three quarters of covid patients in Punjab who surrendered to the virus in the past seven months were not vaccinated, indicating the importance of vaccination in fighting the virus.
Punjab, since the beginning of the drive that began in January last year, was among countries that struggled with low coverage of synchronous trends with the view of health experts who had advocated the vaccine as the safest method to get immunity to viruses and called for people to take a shot.

Punjab Covid-19 Nodal officers Dr.
Rajesh Bhaksar said that the data made it proved that vaccination along with the appropriate behavior of Covid made someone safe from the virus.
He urged people who had not received their first dose to get vaccinations and it was because of the second dose to resolve their vaccination.
Even after one year, the state cannot cover all populations that meet the requirements with one dose.
This so far partially vaccinated by around 89% and gave both mandatory doses to 56% of the population who qualified.
Conversely, Haryana’s neighbors, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh are one of the high-performance states / UTS with 100% coverage of the first dose.
They move towards full vaccination.

Between January 1 and January 23, Punjab recorded 333 deaths – 290 more than 43 recorded in December – among them, the majority came from Patiala, Ludhiana, Pathalkot, Hoshali, and Mohali.
