Bengaluru: Karnataka on Saturday reported 8,906 Covid-19 cases of fresh and four deaths, each took a cumulative infection of up to 30,39,958 and 38,366, the health department said.
In his bulletin, the Ministry of Health said 508 people had run out, took the total recovery to 29,63,056.
Active cases in the state are at 38,507.
Spike in a case was driven by Bengaluru Urban which contributed 7,113 infections and three deaths.
Other districts also have new cases, including 295 in Dakshina Kannada, 203 in MySuru, 186 in Udupi, 183 in Mandya and 139 in Hassan and 111 in Bengalore Rural.
Kalaburagi records one death.
There is no fatality at 29 districts while Haveri and Yadgir report zero infection and zero fatality.
The level of pepositives for that day was 5.42 percent and the case mortality rate was 0.04 percent.
A total of 1,64,261 samples were tested in the state, including 1.35,291 RT-PCR tests on Saturday, took the cumulative number of specimens checked as far as 5.75 crores.
There were 1,65,880 inoculation carried out by taking total vaccination so far up to 8.95 crores, the department said.
