Bengaluru: In the midst of covid restrictions, more than 93,000 Ganesha idols, including those from homes, soaked across the boundaries of the BBM on Friday, according to official data.
BBMP prohibits the procession of soaking public idols.
Pukuat urged residents who keep idols at home to immerse them in their own residence, or on cellular tanks.
For Ganesha idols installed in public places, idol heights are closed on four feet and permission for immersion given in cellular tanks or tanks made by BBMP.
According to officials, 368 cellular tanks are governed by a knife facilitation of Visarjan 30,000 idols.
Ten pools / lakes see more than 63,000 idols sink on the first day of the celebration.
