Chandigarh: The Haryana government has registered 136 cases until now against farmers and those who protested three agricultural laws.
In just some cases have an offender, it has been identified or ordered by name, but in most cases such, the state has ordered thousands of unknown farmers / protesters.
In some districts, police have even ordered from 10,000 to 12,000 unknown people in one pine in connection with farmers’ protests.
The highest number of 26 FIR has been registered in Sonipat Regency, where thousands of people have been ordered, followed by Ambala (15 FIGS) and Kurukshetra (14 Firs).
The state has also slapped the cost of severance in two cases like that.
One such case was registered with Sanda on July 11 against three identified and 80-90 other people because they attacked the representative speaker vehicle from Haryana Ranbir Singh Gangwa during his visit there.
Another case was registered on January 15 at the Bahadurgarh Police Station against Sunil Gulia who had uploaded a video on social media where he vowed to launch a cannon attack on the government, if he did not listen to the farmers who protested.
Detailed information about these cases was produced by the government before the State Assembly during the ongoing Monsun session in responding to the question asked by Congress Legislator Bharat Bhushan Batra from Rohtak and Jagbir Singh Malik from Gohta.
Speaking in the Assembly later, Batra criticized the state government to slap the impulse charges against farmers because they could not be called the country’s enemy.
Rohtak Mla also referred to some data related to the case of sighthous, stating that the 405 cases were registered in the country from 2010 to 2020 and 96% of them during the BJP regime.
He said that the data reflected that the ruling party was not tolerant of criticism, which was not a healthy sign in democracy.
