Bengaluru: In another surprising crime reported from Karnataka, a young man in Bengaluru on Monday slitting the throat of his former worker of his colleague right on the road after he rejected his marriage proposal again, police said.
Victims were identified as Anita, 23, a private company worker, and was accused of being Venkatesh, 22.
Both of them came from Andhra Pradesh, had worked for the same company for three years, and was very well known.
The incident occurred when Anita walked towards her workplace around 7 in the morning.
Venkatesh stopped him and proposed him.
When Anita rejected her, she took out a knife and slit her throat.
When blood began to flow out of his neck, Venkatesh, with the help of his co-worker who was in the same stretch, taking him to the nearest hospital, where he gave up on his wounds.
DCP, West, Sanjeev M Patil said Venkates had been arrested and the police also arrested weapons from the crime scene.

They worked in a private company as a staff checker and also distributed goods to retail stores.
Three months ago, Venkatesh joined another company.

Lakshmi and Venkates are very close.

Venkatesh has also approached the victim with a marriage proposal on Saturday and has been rejected.
On Monday, he bought a knife in the supermarket for Rs 80 and used it for crime, DCP said.
It has been collected that Lakshmi’s parents made him marry relatives when he was underage.
Lakshmi told Venkatesh that he would get married.
It is not known whether he married the same or different person.
