BENGALURU: Facing intense opposition from inside the BJP, the state cabinet on Thursday stopped its choice to market 3,667 acres of property into JSW Steel Ltd from Toranagallu at Ballari district.
“The decision on purchase of property into the JSW group won’t be executed,” legislation and parliamentary affairs minister Basavaraj Bommai told reporters after the cabinet assembly.
The government will be citing legal reasons for putting on hold its April 26 cupboard decision to market the property into JSW.
