A 19-year-old daily wage worker was given two covishield doses within a few minutes in each other at the busy vaccination center in Sullia Taluk from the Dakshina Kannada district on Wednesday, and he had undergone observations even though there were no bad effects reported in the last 24 hours.
The incident occurred in a school in the village of Duggaladka Taluk when the center was the Chock-A block with vaccine seekers due to the mega drive carried out by the government on Wednesday.
Sullia Taluk’s Health Officer, Dr.
B Nandakumar told TII that KB Arun, from Kooteelu Village in Sultia, still had to take another dose after the gap determined 84 days.
The officer said that when Faux occurred when the man did not leave the room after taking the first dose, and the nurse in the work did not realize that he gave the second dose to the same person.
“Immediately after realizing the mistake, he was made to stay quiet in place for 2-3 hours before he was sent home,” he said.
A team of health workers has examined their vital parameters in his home since Wednesday night.
Dr.
Nandakumar said the man got the impression that two vaccine doses needed to travel.
He seemed to believe his rumors that he would be rejected from the public distribution system if he did not fully stab.
“Therefore, he did not leave the room after the first round.
The nurse could not recognize it because facemask and confusion caused by a grinding crowd,” he added.
