Rangiya / Goalpara / Guwahati: At least seven people have been killed and nine others were injured in a separate road accident in Assam, police said on Saturday.
Four people were killed and eight others were injured when the ambulance collided with Tempo in Baila Chariai in Kamrup (rustic) on Friday night.
Two people died in that place, while two other people later died of their injury at the hospital, a police officer said.
People who were injured, including ambulance drivers, had been treated at Gautati Medical College and Hospital.
In another accident, a vehicle crashed into a motorcycle which in turn hit another vehicle coming from the opposite direction in Amjonga in the Dudhnoi police station from Gawnepara Regency on Friday night, said another officer.
Two of the three people riding motorbikes were killed in place, while the third was hospitalized.
Another scooter rider was killed after being hit by a truck in the Silkukhuri area in Guwahati.
