Bengaluru: A man and woman on a bicycle died when they were thrown from the electronic city that exalted the freeway in an accident around 9:45 a.m.
on Tuesday.
The identity of the victims has not been confirmed.
The accident occurred when Baleno who quickly hit the bicycle from behind, threw men and women from the toll road which was elevated to the surface road, about 40 feet below.
Both of them died in place due to severe head injury.
Bicycles, with registration of Tamil Nadu, are heading to Hosur from Madival, police said.
The driver of the car tried to overtake another vehicle when he lost control and about the median road, the initial investigation was revealed.
The car then turned left, crashed into a pair on a bicycle and stopped after hitting the toll road.
Some people who passed near Singasandra Junction rushed to the help of bikers and tried to make them realize but in vain.
The car driver is unconscious and in the hospital.
He will be questioned when he recovers, the police added.
