Guwahati: Police, acting based on specific information, on Sunday seize Heroin worth RS 3.5 Crore from the Sijubari area, almost 1 km from the Hugigion police station, in the city.
However, all drug dealers, who carry heroin in 36 cases of soap in the vehicle, managed to escape from the place.
The police opened the fire but failed to stop them.
This operation was carried out together by Kumprup and Kamrup Police (Metro).
Kumbrup Police Inspector Hitesh Chandra Ray said, “The vehicle was intercepted at around 8:30 a.m.
on Sunday.
We have input around four people who carry consignments, come from Manipur, and are on our way to Assam Regency.” Media Briefing, said, ” Police fired two rounds to stop the vendors from escaping.
However, they managed to escape from the place.
