Bengaluru: With a fresh covid-19 infection under control, the Karnataka government on Friday allows schools and colleges to conduct a regular class in-class for class 6-12 with the presence of 100% of students from October 1, besides providing NOD for Cinema Halls, Cinema cinema and pub to operate with a capacity of 100% from October 3.
The government loosens nighttime hours up to an hour from 10 pm to 5 in the morning, effective Saturday.
Until now, schools are permitted to function with the presence of 50% and students appear on alternative days.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by CM Basavaraj Bommai with a health professional and official.
About Cinema Halls, Bommai said people with at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to enter.
However, entering the cinema will be limited to pregnant women and children.
CM says: “If the covid front level in the district crosses a sign of 1%, then the cinema and pub in the area will return to 50% residential and face closure if the level fires 2%.” CPR countries stand at 0.66%.
Vigils along the border to increase the meeting decided to issue separate guidelines for future Dasara celebrations to be held in Mysore because they attracted thousands of tourists.
CM said they had decided to accelerate vaccination drives in Raichur, Yadgir, Kalaburagi and Mysuru where CPR was slightly more than the average country.
Vigils along the national borders will also increase.
Revenue Minister R Ashoka and Health Minister K Sudhakar will visit these districts and hold meetings with officials to drop CPR, CM said.
Following the request to allow offers at the Temple, CM say DC District has been given a mandate to receive calls based on local covid situations.
