Bengaluru: A young man landed at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) from Male, Maldives, with RS 99 Lakh worth the gold pasta hidden on a cloth bag and tied to his underwear.
The Bengaluru Sleuths thread caught him and confiscated the yellow metal with a weight of more than 2kg.
The source said the smuggling effort was opened on Tuesday night after the First Airlines flight (G84032) from a man landed at KIA at 6:15.
Sleuth intercepted the 23-year-old man from Malappuram in Kerala, who acted suspicion.
He had flown out of Kochi for men on September 22 and claimed he was a tourist.
